Maranta Mission Fundraiser

Maranta Plant Shop was built through a time of difficulty when the world was (and still is) in despair. Our only desire was to give our community life, hope, a sense of respite, and healing. A time for reconnection through nature's offerings. 

Over the last two years, we have found great passion and responsibility in amplifying our community and will always be dedicated to doing so. Plants are healing and remind us to look out for our well-being, and we believe every person should have access to the tranquility and happiness plants provide. 

For this reason, we have given away over 3000 plants and counting. As well as put together food and book drives for plants in return. However, we recognize that the work goes beyond plants. Being privileged with a space means we can open our doors to the very same people, creatives, community leaders, and entrepreneurs that activate Milwaukee. Over 120 small businesses have been hosted through our summer markets for no cost, produced community events, art galleries, and much more. 

Our dedication to being a community space is important to us because we recognize how impactful the creatives that reside here are to the culture of Milwaukee. And we must continue to elevate the city because we aren't nearly done. 

All of our work has been done out of our own pocket and time. No institutional funding, no big PPP loan, just one mission and unconditional love for our plants and people.
